On Monday September 21st, Dreams supporters will gather at the Carleton Golf & Yacht Club, one of Ottawa’s finest private golf clubs, located south of Manotick on the banks of the Rideau River to enjoy a round of golf and an afternoon of fun.
Golf will be followed by a cocktail hour on the patio overlooking the river and dinner prepared by our fabulous Chef Nakul. There will be a silent auction to raise funds to send well over 100 deserving children for a day of adventure in the Magic Kingdom, with the generous assistance of the Air Canada Foundation. Since 1994, Dreams Take Flight Ottawa has been taking a large group of children from the National Capital Region to Walt Disney World™, Florida for a fun-filled day of adventure at the Magic Kingdom. 2026 marks the Ottawa chapter’s 32nd year of making Dreams Take Flight magical memories for so many children. The generosity of individuals and organizations changes lives every single year. With your support, we can give more to children in our community facing difficult social, economic and medical challenges.
We are proud to be an entirely volunteer run charity, keeping administrative costs to a bare minumun to ensure that your support has the maximun impact on the children we serve.
Air Canada and the Air Canada Foundation provide the aircraft, with dedicated volunteers from both within and outside of the airline community working tirelessly year-round to make each flight a success. All expenses for the children are paid, thanks to fundraising efforts by our volunteers, corporate and private donors, and events such as this charity golf tournament. Our chapter volunteers collaborate with various medical organizations, social agencies and school districts to select children who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
Corporate Sponsorship and tournament participation are a direct way to provide the financial support necessary for the dreams of children in the National Capital Region to take flight.
