Be a part of the Dream Family!
Dreams Take Flight is a 100% volunteer-led charity. Every person involved with the flight donates their time including the pilots, flight crew, chaperones and ground support. It’s only through caring individuals like you that our magical journeys can happen!
As a volunteer, you will have the unique opportunity to touch the lives of hundreds of special children. Your time will bring hope and happiness to those who need it the most. Volunteering with us will be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.
After some time volunteering with us, you too can be selected as a chaperone for this amazing opportunity to change the lives of these special kids. All volunteers that wish to be considered as chaperones must have a valid passport and be at least 18 years of age.

Code of Conduct
All volunteers must read and agree to the terms of the Dreams Take Flight Code of Conduct. Please read below.
In addition, a Dreams Take Flight Ottawa code of conduct will need to be signed by all those participating in any DTF Ottawa events including flight day and any fundraising events prior to participation. Any failure to adhere to both the DTF Canada and DTF Ottawa code of conduct will result in your removal from any future considerations for your application or participation in DTF events.
Police Record Checks
A Police Record check (Vulnerable Sector) is required for all volunteers. You will find below links to the Fee Waiver letter and the Police website. If you do not have a copy of your police record check back by orientation you can not be considered as a chaperone for flight day.
Please see the Police Records Check page for all the information you will need to obtain your records check.
We recommend the online application process, as it is considerably faster and more convenient. If applying in person, please ensure you read all instructions and bring required documentation with you.An online application or a downloadable form can be accessed at the Police Check website linked below. To use the online application print and scan or photograph a copy of the completed DTF Fee Waiver Letter to submit online with your application.
