11th Annual Hi Tech Mixed Charity 3-Pitch Softball Tournament

The Kanata Research Park (KRPC) is hosting its annual softball tournament on June 16-17, 2012 at Bridlewood Park in Kanata. Proceeds will be donated evenly between DTF Ottawa and the Ottawa Breast Cancer Foundation. If you work in the Kanata Business Park and would like to register your team, please contact Brian Lacombe (613-591-0594 x1036). As space is limited, register your team early if you want to play!

Need to get in your volunteer hours! KRPC is looking for our assistance with umpiring any of the games on either of the two days, please contact Nicole Banville if you can assist.

Every Pair Helps....New Shoes For A Great Cause!

Your new shoes can help make dreams take flight for special kids! Five dollars from every pair of adult or children’s Crocs purchased at the Place d’Orleans Kiddie Kobbler location from May 19 to May 26 will be donated to Dreams Take Flight Ottawa. Every pair purchased will help bring special needs children on a one day trip of a lifetime to Walt Disney World.

HOPE Helps and You Can Too!

This year, we have the honour of being one of Helping Other People Everywhere (HOPE) Volleyball SummerFest’s recipient charities.

HOPE is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit events management organization that raises funds for community-based charities. HOPE’s flagship Volleyball SummerFest event combines recreational volleyball with live rock entertainment. Each year, more than 25,000 players and spectators flock to Mooney’s Bay beach in Ottawa for the greatest summer party in the region!

As a recipient charity, DTF Ottawa has committed to recruit and coordinate a minimum of 50 volunteers for the event on July 14, 2012.

This is your chance to get involved as a volunteer and help both DTF Ottawa and HOPE Volleyball reach their fundraising goals!
